I recently took a photography lighting class from the guy that literally wrote the book on lighting - natural light and artificial strobe lighting. At dinner our last night together, he asked me what I was doing next. I looked at him and said, "I'm going back to the beginning, and taking a 101 Photography Class." He laughed in an endearing way, and said, "Why? Your images are incredible. Do you know difficult it is to do what you're doing?" I said to him, "The creativity isn't difficult for me. The technical is difficult for me. I don't know it. I've sat through these classes for years praying people like you don't ask me what shutter speed I was at ..." So, this month I took a class here locally at The Denver School of Photography. Taught by the same guy that I've gone to for years to print my photographs that had won awards or for exhibits. I still don't know everything there is to know. But I'm now confident with the technical basics in a way I never have been. | Reminder: Carry always with you a beginner’s mind.

Increasingly many of you are choosing to fly privately from the US to Europe, which often requires a refuel along the way. Historically that’s been London. Lately that’s been Iceland. With both spots I can assist you in maximizing your time whether for just a lovely meal, or more. Discussing the latter, I have 3 couples traveling together from Wisconsin stopping in Reykjavik enroute to Italy.
