I’ve been traveling to Crested Butte for many years. Was recently back for a few days and stopped by to visit the Eleven properties Scarp Ridge Lodge & Sopris House (bar/billiard room pictured to the right), both downtown, as they were preparing to open back up for the summer season. The lodge accommodates up to 14 people, the house up to 10 people. What I love about these accommodations, aside from their killer decor and prime location, is the fact that they innately come with cat-skiing at Irwin, Eleven’s exclusive backcountry ski area. Via custom snowcat that picks you up from your door, with expert ski guides. Quite unique in the ski trip landscape, and the type of experience I’m leaning into more & more for clients, whether here stateside/Alaska or abroad in Europe or Japan. | And+: Use of private on-mountain outposts for meals & rest.

They went to Puglia and loved it so much they decided to go back. Not uncommon with places we fall in love with. Bringing your extended family, taking multiple villas over the course of a few weeks? I’d say, uncommon. And very cool. New York City-based clients came to me for help with that scenario … 1 week with his extended family; 1 week with her extended family. 2 different Villas, in 2 different locations. Private Chefs, sunbeds at Beach Clubs, Ostuni, Olive Oil, Cheese-Making. Just a few experiences I’ve arranged for them. | Where?: Puglia, a lovely swath of Italy, where the food is bit different & the land a little less touristic, out east of Naples.
